"Since we arrived after the dining room at closed, we ate in the tavern, which I suspect was the original building located on a corner lot. The food, service & atmosphere were wonderful. The feeling was one of a local gathering place—much as it has been since the 1800’s. The tin ceiling and half walls were a trip back to a bygone era. I had the Pittsburgh Salad which was just short of overwhelming in both size and quality. My wife had a burger which was excellent. We finished it off with a shard piece of crème brûlée cheesecake that was magical!! Highly recommend!!"
