Mt Vernon Motel

"Just stayed here on the night of June 14th, 2024. We were attending a Penn State Master Gardener seminar about 10 minutes away, so the location was ideal. The room was incredibly clean and comfortable. The man behind the checkin desk told us we were lucky to get a room because it was they busiest week due to some sort of soccer tournament going on, so I'm glad we got it. I don't need a lot to make me happy in a hotel, a comfortable bed, decent pillows, clean linens, and maybe a TV with a few channels for me to fall asleep to. Mt Vernon has this in spades. I was a little concerned when we first checked in because there was a lot of traffic on the road out front and I was worried about the noise, but the rooms are very well soundproofed. If you are an earlybird the top level faces directly east, so if you get up you can get a great view of the sunrise over the field across the road from the benches in front of each room. (FWIW, although there is no breakfast offered, the Kounrty Kitchen that is a literal 10 second walk is amazing) If I can offer ANY suggestion at all, not a complaint, if you guys could maybe place in each room, or make available, a chair or some sort, even a folding chair for those of us who would like to sit down not on a bed to avoid some back pain, that would be wonderful. Coming back to the area later this summer. We'll be staying here."
