I had PRK the summer of 2019 during the procedure I was informed that they placed silicone plugs (punctal plugs) that would need to be removed in three years.
I saw four separate eye doctors since then and always asked about it. Two of them didn't even know what the plugs were. The other two just shrugged it off and said "they probably fell out already"
I was a new patient at Rebman and saw Dr. Zechman. Right away he proved his experience. Never have I had an optometrist exam my eyes so thoroughly, answering all my questions along the way. Furthermore, he identified the plugs and had them out in a matter of minutes. My eyes already feel more relieved after having them removed.
