"I have been going to A&E Audiology for quite some time now, in fact I’m using and benefiting from my second pair at this point. I am very satisfied with my devices and the service I’ve experienced at A&E.
I would like to mention that I have taken the opportunity to recommend hearing devices to the many people I know or have met that suffer from varying degrees of hearing impairment. Many of them are benefiting from using them right now. Fortunately these devices are increasingly available from many different sources at varying prices. In my opinion this is good because they have been expensive and not so available, putting them out of reach for the many folks that need them.
There are a couple caveats to buying “over the counter” devices that I should mention, those being quality and service:
Buying your hearing devices from an audiologist such as A&E will guarantee a quality product that will serve you well for many years. Secondly, A&E will do periodic cleanings, servicing and hearing tests which will allow them to make adjustments as needed. These services are provided in person as opposed to online purchases, assuring that your questions are answered and your needs are met, making it much more likely that you will receive the full quality of life benefits that using hearing devices can provide.
Lastly I want to suggest that if anyone considering giving hearing aids a try but think there is a stigma around wearing them, let me assure you that I have been wearing them for at least 15-20 years and the comment that I get most often is “oh, I never noticed you wear hearing aids” and I have no hair to cover them! They are small and inconspicuous and nobody evens cares, the benefits are life changing if you or the people around you are suffering from your hearing impairment.
I sure would hate to be without them." - Terry K.
